Allegedly the hottest October day since records began. In fact it was rather balmy and not that windy.

Down to Pagham in the hope of a bit of cross on action only to find it dead onshore and noboby else on the beach. Decided to try Hill Head for a bit of cross shore, but on arrival the wind dropped and it was very marginal. Rigged anyway and waited. The wind did pick up for less than an hour of 6.5 blasting. It did pick up again but it was offshore and you had to sail well out to get the wind.
